disLOCATIONS dioramas, photographs, texts & brochure, Sholette & Koenig (1995).
At the turn of the 20th Century the International Workers of the World or Wobblies were active organizing workers across racial lines and regardless if they were skilled or unskilled. Among other actions they supported was the Free Speech Movement that took place in San Diego California among other cities, and the little known event known as the Tijuana Revolution. disLOCATIONS consisted of four elaborate dioramas mounted behind large acrylic panels suspended from the ceiling of the gallery. Flanking each diorama were two image and text panels that resembled enlarged film strips.
